1. Agreement to Terms
By placing an order with Prompt Proofreading ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Services
Prompt Proofreading provides professional proofreading, copy editing, and listing creation services. Our current services include:
- Etsy / Amazon listing proofreading (up to 5 listings)
- Product packaging copy proofreading
- Instruction manual proofreading (under 50 pages and 50+ pages)
- Listing creation from scratch (up to 3 listings)
Service details, scope, and pricing are as described on our Pricing page at the time of purchase.
3. Payment
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified payment processor. Prices are listed in USD. Payment is required in full before work begins. By submitting your payment, you authorize the charge to your payment method for the stated amount. We do not store your credit card information.
4. Delivery
Completed work is delivered to the email address provided at checkout. Standard turnaround times are:
- Most services: 3–5 business days
- Instruction manuals (50+ pages): 5–7 business days
- Rush processing (any service): 24 hours from order confirmation
Turnaround times begin once your order is confirmed and any required content has been received. Delays caused by incomplete submissions may extend delivery times. We make every reasonable effort to meet stated turnaround times but they are not guaranteed delivery dates.
5. Revisions
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not happy with any aspect of your delivered work, please reply to your delivery email within 7 days and describe what you would like changed. We will make reasonable revisions at no additional charge. Revision requests must relate to the original scope of the service purchased and must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
6. Refunds
We stand behind our work. If we are unable to deliver your order within the stated turnaround time (excluding delays due to incomplete submissions), or if we cannot resolve a legitimate quality concern after revision, we will issue a full refund. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the original order. To request a refund, contact us at ckamats@promptproofreading.com.
7. Your Content
You retain full ownership of any content you submit to us. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to access and edit that content solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order. We will not share, publish, or use your content for any other purpose. You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide to us.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to submit content that is:
- Unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or obscene.
- Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Intended to deceive consumers or engage in fraudulent activity.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order that violates these terms, with a full refund of any payment made.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prompt Proofreading shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service, including any errors in the delivered work. Our total liability for any claim arising from a specific order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.
